Plus Size Corsets
Plus size corsets are becoming more and more mainstream in lingerie shops and department stores and corsetieres are now starting to concentrate a lot more on tailoring their designs more towards plus size women as the choices available at the moment are increasing rapidly.
When choosing a “real” corset you should be able to obtain a waist reduction of around 2-4 inches, although people who have practised wearing tight laced corsets for a number of years are now able to lose as much as 6 inches, although this is a lot easier to achieve if your waist is quite large to begin with.
Corsets are now available to buy in a selection of styles and designs so it is possible to find a corset that is sexy and flirty and shows off your curves in the style of modern glamour or classic 50’s style pin up, a must have ingredient to achieve that sought after hourglass shape.
Now a favourite to wear as part of your outerwear rather than underwear, corsets are no longer just for the bedroom, as many women including celebrities are frequently photographed wearing the tight laced number. A corset can be teamed with some super sexy jeans or a fun frilly skirt or follow the trend and wear it over a shirt or a blouse which can be worn day or night.
Real corsets are made using a steel busk which is runs up the front of the corset and is designed to pull your stomach in and hold it in place. A typical corset is constructed using 12 steel bones, all of which reduce the waist of the wearer and push the chest up and together, all corsets are also laced up using strong woven cord.
